Happy Anniversary

I have to toot our horns a little, today is our 8th anniversary and we are so happy. Jeff has been the absolute perfect match for me and I love him so much. We have so much fun together and he makes me smile and laugh everyday. It has been the best 8 years!

Gabe'ism Part 2

We went to Jeff's parents Sunday night for a visit and he said a couple cute things I needed to get down.
He sat down to eat some food and looked at Mike and Steph and said "So boys and girls what are we doing now" It was so funny the way he said it.
He also ran up to Grandma Flint and said "Grandma you are the prettiest girl ever" Then he ran away pretty embarrassed when we all started talking about how cute it was.
Then Grandma gave him a kiss on the check on the way out and he ran away telling "She kissed me!"
What a cute kid!

What a fun weekend

We have had such a fun weekend together, we need some rest from our R & R! Jeff had Thursday and Friday off of work so we got a nice 4 day weekend together. To kick it off we had a "sleepover" together in the family room downstairs. Which is the most relaxing way to rest. Gabe kicked me all night with his cast! Tori was up 3 times and the couch is not the most comfortable place to sleep. So then we had planned an early morning trail run in the mountains, so we got up nice and refreshed to get the kids to the babysitter and took off for a 5 mile run. Which was so nice! Then we came home and got the kids ready to go and see Kung Fu Panda, which is such a cute movie. We laughed through out most of the movie and the kids adored it. They are still arguing over who gets to be the good tiger. Then to top the day off, because we were not to tired yet, we went to the Centerville firework show. Which had some live bands and a fun firework show. Kelsi has been afraid of fireworks for several years now, and she was so proud of herself, because she said she was brave and did not get scared this time.
The 4th, my brother Eric, his wife Kami and her sister were driving through and I got them talked into coming and stopping by for lunch, when I got off the phone and realized the house was a complete disaster so we turned into panic mode and scrubbed the house to make it presentable for a couple hours and you have to time this just right, if you wait to long the house is back to a disaster! So just as we were getting the last of the dishes and the lunch cooked they showed up and Kelsi and Gabe had a blast with them showing off all their stuff and all the new things they have learned. When they decided to head on to my parents house we decided to take advantage of the shade in the backyard and start on the deck, which was the original plan for the weekend. With one side of the railing done we decided to call it a night. Then the Layton and Kaysville fireworks went off and we got to watch them from the deck. So 3 nights down of getting the kids to bed around 11. Today started off with more training for the triathlon, then a little shopping and now our turn to watch kids for our date night exchange. So Jeff is pleading the deck and out working on some more sanding and I have 6 kids to watch and a grumpy baby! Maybe I should go change places! So I am keeping my fingers crossed tomorrow will be a lot more relaxing... But it has been such a fun filled, memory filled weekend! I have loved it!

Victoria and Jeff Playing

This is Jeff and Victoria playing together. She is such a cute girl, we love watching her reach new stages daily. The grow up so fast!

Gabe'ism

So Gabriel has been on a role with some of his quotes... My personal favorite right now is
" Stop tickling me your hurting my germ's"
"When I grow up I want to be a big Jeff"
Watching American Gladiator, " I want to do that, but I only want to fight with the girls"
It's always mommy and Jeff to, hardly ever mommy and daddy.
When he gets in trouble his favorite saying is "Take it easy, man". He's such a fun kid!

The Perfect Toasted Marshmallow

Jeff teaching the kids how to toast the perfect marshmallow. After all the work and explaining we both still got pretty toasty ones. That's the way I like them anyways.

Fireworks!

We had a blast doing fireworks this year for the 4th at home. The kids were so excited about them and having them at our house. They loved the smoke bombs that painted everything with in reach. So we have a red, green and yellow driveway right now. Gabe also did not quite get the hang of the sparklers, he was to use to the smoke bombs and would chuck them as soon as he got them, usually in the pile of wood chips!
