Vegas

We had a really nice family vacation. We went to go visit my brother Eric and his wife Kami for the weekend. We also went with some friends to the U2 concert and did some other fun acitivites with them on Friday.

The U2 concert was amazing. It I think is going to the top of my list for best concerts. The stage was great the seats were great and U2 did amazing. I forget my camera... I know stupid me, and tried to get some pictures on my phone, but they did not do it justice.

We did a little of the strip, lunch and the M & M factory other then that we stayed away. Jeff and Eric went mountain biking on saturday. We also went out to dinner and to a Halloween carnival saturday night.

The kids did really well on the drive, which really suprised us with Tory. I thought she would be much harder but I was very happy to see her being so good. The kids are totally attached to Eric and Kami. Kelsi asked us if we could buy their house because it was so pretty and Monday morning when we were leaving Gabe told us he did not want to go because he was going to miss Eric and Kami to much.

I'm glad we got a little vacation and away for a bit.

M & M World

While we were in Vegas we stopped by M & M world. It has 4 floors of M & M stuff. The kids had a lot of fun here and we did let them get some M & M's out of the masive dispensers they had..... however when I went to go pay for them I about had a heart attack $8.00 for .67 lbs of M & M's... I hoped they savored every one of those M & M's!

Hoover Dam

On our trip we stopped by the Hoover Dam. What an amazing site. It was really neat to see. Kelsi was just a little to short to see over the edge and instead of asking for help she took to jumping up. Gave us a heart attack every time.
Behind us is another bridge that they are making across the canyon, pretty cool!

We tried to get them to look up, but this is the sign showing it is one of the seven wonders of the world. Below it is a sign saying Arizona and Nevada. Kelsi had fun jumping between states for a while.

Pumpkin Carving

Last monday night we carved pumpkins. The kids were great at giving critism and telling us that they looked nothing like a bat or a witch. I was a little more slow at telling Tory to stop hitting them on the head with a spoon after that!

Green Pond

We went on a beautiful hike last night. It was so gorgeous with all the leaves starting to turn colors. The kids had so much fun and we really enjoyed it. I think this might be moving into one of our favorite hiking places. Enjoy the pictures.

Birthday Girl

Kelsi had her 7th birthday last Friday. She is such a special girl and we love her.

Kelsi waiting until her dad got home from work to open her presents... We brought them upstairs and then we went in our room to talk while Jeff changed his clothes... when we got back she had opened all her presents! She got rollerblades and some new clothes from us and Gabe gave her a new board game ( Operation ) and Tory gave her some hair bows

Kelsi practicing her rollerblades... she did really good for her first try, she will catch on fast

We had a bunch of Kelsi's friends over and they had a fun time wacking the pinata. Thanks all for coming for her and the gifts.

Kelsi wanted a Resese's Peanut Butter Cake this year for her birthday. So we made a chocolate cake, cut in and put peanut butter in the middle. Then we covered it in cream cheese frosting and peanut butter cakes... she loved it!

Soccer Season Kickoff

The kids soccer season kicked off a couple of weeks ago and they are both doing really good. Jeff is coaching Gabe's team and having fun. Kelsi is now on week day practices and her games are now an hour long with 15 minute quarters instead of the 5 minutes and the field is a lot bigger, but she is doing great.
Gabe is so excited to have his dad as his coach and I see him kicking a soccer ball every day... usually inside the house.
Kelsi's team is the Dragon Fairies
Gabe is the Panthers
